"The most valuable skill in the world is Internet Marketing!" says Kirt Christensen

Great – but if you are new to making money on the Internet, where do you start?

I was mentally stunned the other day when a blindingly obvious fact hit me. It suddenly became clear to me what the most obvious STEP 1 is for would-be Internet Marketing entrepreneurs. I'll tell you in a moment – but don't expect to be surprised.

(By the way, if you think the answer is "Find your market niche" – which is the most common advice given - you are quite wrong!)

But what IS surprising – and rather shocking - is the realization that not ONE of the highly successful Internet Marketing gurus teaches this to new people. In fact, I've not read about this anywhere in all the hundreds and thousands of pages of information on Internet Marketing available over the Internet.

I did a search for "making money on the Internet" on Google – and nothing about this came up.

But getting back to the gurus – what advice DO they give to people wanting to make money from Internet Marketing? I can tell you very explicitly.

I have a TON of material about this subject, and most recently acquired 40+ DVDs showing the top Internet Marketers at the top seminars. I've studied these DVDs in great detail - the presentes are all super-successful, have jaw-dropping income stories to tell, and they have GREAT advice to give. They include:

  • Armand Morin ("create your own software products"),

  • Joel Christopher ("build a list"),

  • Kirt Christensen ("buy and sell websites" / "build a membership website"),

  • Bart Baggett ("become a recognized expert"),

  • Fred Gleeck ("write books"),

  • Alex Mandossian ("learn about the psychology of web traffic conversion"),

  • Frank Garon ("create a personal relationship with your list members" / "sell affiliate products"),

  • John Keele ("use pay-per-click search engines"),

  • Janik Silver ("do affiliate marketing"),

  • Declan Dunn ("make money without a website"),

  • Ed Chirac ("networking and joint ventures"),

  • Jim Edwards ("create eBooks"),

  • Ben Prater ("develop software products"),

  • James Maduk ("create multi-media products"),

  • Ryan Deiss ("step-by-step product development process for newbies")

  • ... and there are more.

BUT NOT ONE OF THEM GIVES THE TRUE "STEP 1" ADVICE NEEDED FOR A NEW INTERNET MARKETING ENTREPRENEUR!

You see, each expert or guru will tell you:

"This is how I made my money, and I've broken it down into easy step-by-step instructions so that anyone can follow it.
This is the way for you to make money on the Internet."

But the point is: What about the OTHER ways of making money? Maybe one of THEM would be better for you.

But the gurus aren't going to impartially explain to you all about the OTHER ways of making money, are they? Otherwise sales of their specific system would plummet!

So now we come to it. What I am now going to write is blindingly obvious. How could it be otherwise? And yet, after three years on the Internet, I have never found this explained properly.

There are four steps to creating wealth on the Internet, and what you cannot find anywhere is information about STEP 1.

Step 1:
Understand the main business models for making money on the Internet.
Understand:

  • The principles of how each one works

  • What skills you need to learn

  • The sort of money that you can make and the timescales involved

  • What it will cost you to learn about it

  • What tools you will need to run a business based on that model

Step 2:
From this 10,000ft overview understanding, choose ONE of those business models

Step 3:
Find the detailed education and step-by-step training required to operate your chosen business model.

Step 4:
Focus (this is very important!) and follow your chosen business model. Include selected other business models as and when they complement your first choice.

So, if you are just starting your journey to making money on the Internet, you now know your next step: learn about the main business models of Internet Marketing.

Alex is one of the most experienced Knowledge Management Consultants on the planet and has assessed the field of Internet Marketing from a KM perspective. The result? It gets lots of A+ grades, but some serious F- grades as well. One of them is in regard to Education: there is none. It's all training.

But instead of just bitching and complaining about this, Alex is working on solutions. One of these is his unique, F*R*E*E 14-part eCourse - Internet Marketing: Step 1 which clearly explains the 12 main Business Models of Internet Marketing. This provides the missing "education" - the 10,000ft "strategic" view - that newcomers need to understand before diving into the tactical "training" in a specific area.
